Symposium on Application Accelerators in High-Performance Computing (SAAHPC)

Journal submission instructions

SAAHPC 2010 presenters are invited to submit their work to a March 2011 special issue of the journal Parallel Computing (ParCo) that will focus on the use of application accelerators in HPC. Guest editors Volodymyr Kindratenko (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and Gregory Peterson (University of Tennessee, Knoxville) invite papers that address the challenge of using such systems for developing and running production applications. Topics of interest include:

• novel accelerator processors, systems, and architectures
• integration of accelerators with high-performance computing systems
• programming models for accelerator-based computing
• languages and compilers for accelerator-based computing
• run-time environments, profiling and debugging tools for accelerator-based computing
• scientific and engineering applications that use application accelerators

Authors are asked to submit high-quality original work that has neither appeared in, nor is under consideration by, other journals. All submissions will be peer reviewed following the standard journal practices. Manuscripts based on previously published conference papers must be extended substantially to include at least 50 percent new material.

Manuscripts should be submitted via Elsevier Editorial system. When submitting, please select "Special Issue: AAHPC" for the Article Type.

Submissions must be received by Aug. 20, 2010. Notification of acceptance will be by Dec. 17. Final papers will be due Jan. 21, 2011, with publication of the special issue in March 2011.
